The outer shell is a waterproof fabric with quilted filling. Machine wash cold, delicate cycle, inside out with the zips done up. No fabric softener, no bleach. Air dry, shaking the jacket now and then to spread the filling. Avoid high-temperature tumble drying, direct ironing and dry cleaning, all of which pack the filling into uneven clumps. Stored on a hanger rather than folded, the jacket keeps its loft and therefore its insulating power from one season to the next, without the filling migrating to the bottom of the panels.
